Students have declared a siege of the Assembly on August 6th. On July 4th, students first demanded an investigation into the issue and began an indefinite strike on July 25th. On Saturday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its youth wing, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), staged movement over alleged irregularities in the examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). During the protests, demands were raised for a CBI inquiry into allegations of paper leaks and exam-related malpractices. BJP workers demonstrated outside the collectorates in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Chatra. In Jamshedpur, BJP and BJYM workers organized an ‘Aakrosh Rally’ (rally of outrage) to protest against corruption and alleged irregularities\u2014including paper leaks\u2014in the JPSC, JSSC, CGL, Junior Engineer, and Excise Constable recruitment examinations. The rally commenced at the BJP office in Sakchi and proceeded to the district collectorate. Through the Deputy Commissioner, BJP and BJYM leaders submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor, demanding a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC examination, strict action against the guilty, and the resignation of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
